Favorite Sports Memory: My favorite memory as a player was the championship game of an adidas Presidents’ Day tournament during club my junior year at RVA. This game was so fun to play in and be a part of. The whole tournament we had been struggling with cohesiveness and finding our flow. We fought through to make it to the championship and during that game we played together more than we ever had before. We all flowed together so well and we finally were able to move and play as one unit. We battled and found spots aggressively however we lost the game in 5. Even though we didn’t win, that game remained as one of my favorite memories as we battled through adversity and even though we all struggled individually the power of the team won the day. Looking back that tournament taught me so much which is one of the things I love about volleyball. No matter what you do, you can always learn and grow and come out as a better player and person for it.
