COVID Guidelines

JVC Pre-Event COVID Screen

Please fill this out before any of your athletes practices or tournaments.

Response and React

We need your help!  It is not just the club administration and coaching staff that need to be the ones keeping our gym a safe environment.  We need the players and parents to assist us as well.  Please fill out the form above  everyday you have an event.  It is the parents responsibility that the document is filled out, even if the player is the one to complete it.  This must be done for each practice or tournament, no exceptions, or players will not be allowed to participate in the event.

Additionally exposure to a close contact or a positive test, must be communicated and the guidelines laid forth by the CDC must be adhered to.  Again this is to ensure our gym environment is the safest that it possibly can be. The club may take action against those who are not forthcoming with details and breaking the protocol laid out by the CDC.

COVID-19 Protocols

Juniors Volleyball Club is determined and focused on doing what we can to create a safe environment for all our athletes, coaches, and families. By following the below protocol we are doing everything possible to minimize the risk of exposure to COVID. Please understand that there is absolutely no way we can completely remove the risk, these measures are simply us being proactive in protecting you as best we can.

  • 3 W’s - WEAR a mask, WASH your hands, and WATCH your distance
  • All players and coaches will be required to wear a mask at ALL times until further notice. Masks can be removed for drinking water, eating a snack or needing to take a quick breath
  • We ask all people to wash their hands once they arrive at the facility and do not touch your face or mouth while at practice. If you need, bring a small towel to wipe your face. Hand sanitizer will also be readily available at all facilities
  • We ask you to maintain at least 6 ft apart when appropriate. You will place your bag at least 6ft away from other bags, all of your belongings need to fit into one bag.

Quarantine and Isolation

If your athlete test positive:

Please isolate and follow the  CDC guidelines.

If your athlete is a close contact and needs to quarantine:

We will continue to follow the CDC guidelines for quarantining. This means that even if you produce a negative test during your quarantine, you will not be permitted in the gym until your quarantine is complete.

Practice Check In

  • We will be taking temperatures before you enter the gym, any temperature above 100.3 WILL NOT be allowed to attend practice
  • Prior to practice and tournaments you will need to fill out our JVC Pre-Event COVID Screen Form. This is a google form that will allow us to contact trace if/when necessary. This should be filled on any day your athlete has an event for JVC.
  • In order to keep our athletes and coaches safe we need full participation and honesty when filling out the form.

Clean & Disinfect

  • Clean volleyballs will be brought out for every new session
  • Gyms to be cleaned and disinfected based on protocols put in place by their specific ownership

  • It is imperative that ALL athletes, coaches, and parents monitor their health daily
  • Be alert for symptoms
  • Per CDC, COVID-19 has a wide range of symptoms - ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness, as well as being asymptomatic. Symptoms may appear 2-14 after exposure to the virus. Symptoms include, but are not limited to:
    • Diarrhea
    • Nausea or vomiting
    • Congestion or runny nose
    • Sore throat
    • New loss of taste or smell
    • Headache
    • Muscle or body aches
    • Fatigue
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • Cough
    • Fever or chills
    • If you are feeling any symptoms, DO NOT come to practice

Please know we will do our absolute best to protect our JVC families and friends. In these unprecedented times it will be imperative that we all remain patient, flexible, and most of all understanding when hearing others' opinions and decisions. Not everyone will have the same outlook in regard to COVID, we’re not looking for that, we are simply making the most informed decisions that we can throughout the year. Thank you for the continued support and we are all looking forward to a great season.
